Capturing railroads on film is one of the greatest things people do to help preserve railroad history. So what is filmed today will be someday vintage later. Some of us like the vintage material, some like today's. Either way, it's all great to watch on our DVDs, video, etc. We just added all 210 titles from our Keith's Trains™ Series which covers from the 1980s to the 2000s. Many great roads and content like: Conrail, ATSF, CSX, Chessie, SBD, L&N, BN, BNSF, UP, N&W, NS, SOU, AMT, VIA, Steam, Passenger, Museums, plants that have changed over time, and more. Many locations such as: IN, IA, MI, IL, OH, TN, PA, FL, & more. Not all train DVDs are the same. They may contain trains, but locations, types of trains, roads, and the time-frame when they were filmed is always different. Why do you watch trains? Is it for the historical significance, the colors, the large equipment, your favorite locomotives or road? We all have a reason. New Railroad AUDIO CD Available: NORFOLK SOUTHERN-N&W 1980s Vol.12 AUDIO from 1-WEST PRODUCTIONS™
We now have a New Railroad AUDIO CD available for purchase on our Webstore! Audio-only CDs allows the listener to use their imagination, enjoying Railfanning on a whole different level. The listener would allow their mind to conjure up images of the trains moving, similar to how radio programs worked before TV arrived.
The Featured Title is called: NORFOLK SOUTHERN-N&W 1980s Vol.12 AUDIO CD, by 1-WEST PRODUCTIONS™ Railroad DVD & AUDIO, that was originally recorded in March 1987. It has been re-mastered and produced in 2015, by P. Jordan and 1-West Productions™, at our sound studio. The audio tracks were recorded in true Panning Stereo, where if one listened to it on at least a two-speaker stereo system, they can hear the train literally moving from one speaker to the other, as it's passing by in front of them. This was obtained by having two separate directional mics facing opposite of each other. You'll hear the same type of Stereo and other high-quality recordings in this Series of Audio CDs. These recordings will contain older NS, N&W, and SOU locomotive models of EMD and GE, classic train horns, jointed rail, flat wheels, background ambient train and nature sounds, and more of early NS on the N&W side of the system. We hear on this short sample of Cut 15, a mixed freight with an NS SD40-2 leading, & with N&W 8000-series GE chugs away, as he heads WB out of Bellevue, OH , in March of 1987.
